Feels like concrete, looks like concrete – but is much lighter and easier to install. Sounds interesting? Then take a closer look at this imi-beton surface.
You can use it to create really great interior fittings, shop fittings or stylish exhibition booths. Because this look in smooth grey formwork is applied to a classic MDF carrier panel and has therefore been specially developed for interior fittings, joinery and carpentry work.
Side A of this composite panel has a mineral coating in a smooth concrete look with natural air inclusions. It looks deceptively real! Each panel is unique. So every square metre you install is unique. But we ensure a uniform look for larger quantities, of course. We can't wait to see what you make of it!
The back of the panel is covered with white melamine.
And you'll also be interested to know that you can process these panels easily and quickly. Standard carbide-tipped carpentry tools are sufficient. Diamond-tipped tools are not necessary.

Structure and surface
The MDF panel imi-beton smooth formwork grey that we offer you in our shop consists of a 19 mm thick MDF carrier panel with an approx. 1 mm thick grey mineral coating on one side (side A).
Side B is covered with a white melamine backing. The panel edges are raw.
Due to the mineral coating on one side, these MDF panels are subject to slight tension.
The concrete surface is made of mineral, solid-colored material that is coated with a matt lacquer. It is extremely durable and robust, but is of course also subject to normal ageing processes.

You can order this composite panel from imi in a thickness of approx. 20 mm from our online shop. We will of course deliver it to your door with our shuttle service for 49 euros!
Classification
The mineral imi-beton coating is classified as non-combustible A2-s1, d0 in accordance with the German DIN EN 13501-1.
Sustainability advantage
These imi-beton composite panels are recyclable. You can easily dispose of leftovers with household waste. Both, the coating and the carrier panel material are ecologically harmless.
Higher loads
An additional matt protective coating is recommended for expected higher loads.
Cleaning and care
You can treat this imi-beton surface like a normal veneered, lacquered surface. We recommend cleaning with a damp cloth.
As you may have already read, normal carbide-tipped tools are sufficient for sawing, drilling and routing these high-quality coated MDF panels.
The screw extraction resistance is the same as for any other MDF panel. We recommend pre-drilling.
These panels can be glued with standard wood glue.
If you put the panels into storage, please store them in a dry place and protect them from frost. Please use foam foil as an intermediate layer so that you can enjoy this beautiful coating for a long time.
And please note the following information:
The main component of imi mineral coatings is organic. This means that color differences between different batches cannot be completely ruled out, even though we take great care to avoid them. Differences of this kind, as well as air inclusions, are natural and are no reason for complaint. Due to the nature of this product, slight warping and slight offsets in the joint area cannot be completely ruled out, despite all the precision and care we take.
