This design surface in an anthracite-colored concrete look is a really great alternative to original concrete. Applied to a lightweight MDF panel, you can use it to create really great shop fittings, furniture, pedestals or stylish exhibition stands.
The mineral surface, which is only approx. 1 mm thick, not only looks like concrete. It also feels like it. Side A of the composite panel has this coating with a smooth concrete look. It looks deceptively real! The back of the worktop is covered with a white melamine.
Each panel is unique. So you install a unique piece with every square metre. But of course we ensure a uniform look for larger quantities.
You can process these panels easily and quickly. Standard carbide-tipped carpentry tools are all you need.
Structure and surface
The MDF panel imi-beton smooth formwork anthracite consists of a 19 mm thick MDF carrier panel with an approx. 1 mm thick, anthracite mineral coating on one side (side A).
Side B is covered with a white melamine backing. The panel edges are raw.
Due to the mineral coating on one side, these MDF panels are subject to slight tension.
The concrete surface is made of mineral, solid-colored material that is coated with a matt lacquer. It is extremely durable and robust, but is of course also subject to normal ageing processes.

Classification
The mineral imi-beton coating is classified as non-combustible A2-s1, d0 in accordance with the German DIN EN 13501-1.
Sustainability advantage
The material is recyclable. You can therefore dispose of leftovers with household waste without any problems. Both, the coating and the material of the carrier panel, are ecologically harmless.
Higher loads
An additional matt protective coating is recommended for expected higher loads.
Cleaning and care
You can treat this surface like a normal veneered, lacquered surface. We recommend cleaning with a damp cloth.
As you may have already read, normal carbide-tipped tools are sufficient for sawing, drilling and routing these high-quality coated MDF panels.
The screw extraction resistance is the same as for any other MDF panel. We recommend pre-drilling.
These panels can be glued with standard wood glue.
If you put the panels into storage, please store them in a dry place and protect them from frost. Please use foam foil as an intermediate layer so that you can enjoy this beautiful coating for a long time.
And please note the following information:
The main component of imi mineral coatings is organic. This means that color differences between different batches cannot be completely ruled out, even though we take great care to avoid them. Differences of this kind, as well as air inclusions, are natural and are no reason for complaint. Due to the nature of this product, slight warping and slight offsets in the joint area cannot be completely ruled out, despite all the precision and care we take.
