Decor 949. Design surface in natural stone mosaic. Mediterranean style. Hard-wearing. Easy to work with.
You really can't tell the difference! The mineral design surface with inbuilt 3D depth structure feels and looks just like natural stone mosaic. Truly amazing. However, as the decor is applied to a flexible organic PU mat, you can process and lay it with very little effort. All you need is a cutter knife and a 1-component adhesive.
We can recommend this mat for all living and working areas as it is robust, resilient and ecological. Because it is so flexible, you can also use it to cover pillars or other curves. And it also works in van interiors if you like the decor. The coating compound is non-flammable and resistant to stains and abrasion.

Structure and surface
The imi-concrete mat mosaic light is a 3 mm thick bio-polyurethane mat with an approx. 1 mm thick mineral coating on one side in a mosaic look. The mat retains its shape, even at fluctuating temperatures.
The back of the mat is untreated.
The mineral surface is sealed with a protective lacquer and is therefore durable and robust. But of course this product is also subject to normal ageing processes.

Classification
This imi mat is classified in accordance with EN 1677:2016 (resilient floor coverings). It is also B1 fire protection certified.
Sustainability advantage
The backing mat consists of bio-polyurethane, which is largely made from renewable raw materials such as rapeseed or castor oil. The mineral surface is produced from naturally occurring mineral components such as chalk. The product is made in Germany, free from plasticisers, PVC, chlorine and solvents - i.e. low in harmful substances and certified with the Blue Angel, a German label for environmental friendliness.
You can therefore dispose of leftovers or old mat parts with household waste without any problems. Both the coating and the material of the carrier plate are ecologically harmless.
Heavy-duty use / commercial areas
If you want to lay the mat on the floor in commercial areas, this is of course possible. To maintain the high quality, an additional special sealant is required, which we are happy to recommend.
Cleaning and care
You can clean this imi mat daily or at longer intervals as required. Loose dirt is best removed by sweeping, vacuuming or wiping with a damp cloth. To remove heavier soiling, use cleaning water with a mild neutral detergent.
Please remove staining or aggressive substances from the imi mat immediately. If you want to use stain cleaners or other harsher cleaning agents, please test on an inconspicuous area or on an unglued sample to see whether the mineral coating can withstand them.
You can process this imi mat without any special machines or equipment. A cutter knife is all you need.
You simply need a system or wet adhesive for installation. We have put together some recommendations for you in our processing data sheet .
If you decide to lay the mat on the floor and later place chairs, tables or furniture on it, this is generally not a problem. The only important thing is to protect the mat with suitable protective glides or underlays under the furniture. High point loads with a small contact surface (narrow furniture feet or even the familiar high-heeled shoes) can otherwise lead to indentations or damage in this coating.
We have put together some tips for you on working with the mat on walls and floors. These can also be found in the processing data sheet mentioned above. You should definitely read this before you start. The tips will help you to work as smoothly as possible.
If you are storing the mats, please make sure that you keep them dry and protect them from frost.
And one more tip:
The main component of imi mineral coatings is organic. This means that color differences between different batches cannot be completely ruled out, even if we pay close attention to them. Differences of this kind, as well as air inclusions, are of natural origin and are no reason for complaint.
