Product information "imi-concrete Mat vintage anthracite"

MVG 2003 / Decor 226. Coating made of anthracite-colored imitation concrete. On a flexible organic PU mat. Used look in 3D design.

Do you like modern industrial design with concrete elements? And do you also like a beautiful anthracite grey color for interiors? Then take a closer look at this mat with its slightly weathered design surface.

Thanks to its texture, you can use it really flexibly: on walls, floors, ceilings and even on columns. In interior design, for furniture fronts and exhibition walls, in shop fitting or even in kitchens and bathrooms. Some of our customers have used them in camper vans. Also a really good idea!

The mineral design surface looks absolutely real. It looks like concrete, feels like concrete, is robust and resilient. The mat is largely made from vegetable oils such as rapeseed or castor oil and naturally occurring mineral components such as chalk. Completely free from plasticisers and PVC, odourless and low in harmful substances, certified with the Blue Angel.

All you need for laying and processing is a cutter knife, not a concrete mixer. Also quite simple.

We have also compiled all the technical details for you. Just take a closer look at them on this product page.

Technical details

Structure and surface

The imi-concrete mat vintage anthracite grey that you can order in our shop, consists of a 3 mm thick bio-polyurethane mat with an approx. 1 mm thick mineral coating on one side in a used-look concrete look (vintage). It is dimensionally stable, even in fluctuating temperatures.

The back of the mat is untreated.

The concrete coating of the mats is sealed with a protective lacquer and is therefore durable and robust, but is of course also subject to normal ageing processes.

Classification

The imi-concrete mat is classified in accordance with EN 1677:2016 (resilient floor coverings).

It is also B1 fire protection certified.

Sustainability advantage

This flexible mat is made of bio-polyurethane, which is largely made from renewable raw materials such as rapeseed or castor oil and naturally occurring mineral components such as chalk. The product is free from plasticisers, PVC, chlorine and solvents – in other words, it is low in harmful substances and certified with the Blue Angel.

You can therefore dispose of leftovers or old mat parts with household waste without any problems. Both the coating and the backing board material are ecologically harmless.

Heavy-duty use / commercial areas

If you want to lay the mat on the floor in commercial areas, this is of course possible. To maintain the high quality, an additional special sealant is required, which we are happy to recommend.

Cleaning and care

You can clean this imi mat daily or at longer intervals as required. Loose dirt is best removed by sweeping, vacuuming or damp wiping. To remove heavier soiling, add a mild neutral detergent to the cleaning water.

Please remove staining or aggressive substances immediately. If you want to use stain cleaners or other harsher cleaning agents, please test on an inconspicuous area or on an unglued sample to see whether the mineral coating can withstand them.

Important infos!

You can process this imi mat with a cutter knife. You do not need any special machines or equipment for this.

You will need a system or wet adhesive to lay the mats. We have compiled some recommendations for you in our processing data sheet.

If you decide to lay the mat on the floor and later place chairs, tables or furniture on it, this is generally no problem. It is only important to protect the mat with suitable protective glides or underlays under the furniture. High point loads with a small contact surface (narrow furniture feet or even the familiar high-heeled shoes) can otherwise lead to indentations or damage in this coating.

We have put together some tips for you on laying the mat on walls and floors. You should definitely read these before you start. They will help you to work as smoothly as possible. (Link to the processing data sheet?)

If you are storing the mats, please make sure that you keep them dry and protect them from frost.

And one more tip:

The main component of the mineral imi coatings is organic. This means that color differences between different batches cannot be completely ruled out, even if we pay close attention to them. Differences of this kind, as well as air inclusions, are natural and no reason for complaint.
