Caring for lightweight panels: Treat the surface before installation!

Before you work with and install lightweight panels, there is one thing that is absolutely essential: treating all unfinished surfaces with a wood care oil. This applies to:

all veneers
all single-sided coated panels
all untreated panels like Queeply raw/untreated
all exposed edges

Why is a maintenance oil so important for all untreated wooden surfaces?

A good, high-quality nourishing oil

makes wood durable
protects the wood against scratches and dents
cares for the wood and keeps it looking good

If you use a suitable care oil, your furniture will stay as beautiful as it was when you first bought it.

Which care oils are suitable for maintaining Queenply lightweight panels?

Of course, you can find wood care oils in any DIY store. At first glance, they might even seem a bit cheaper than the oil we recommend for our panels in the shop. But here’s the thing: our top recommendation is the care oil from Rubio® Monocoat. And we’ll tell you why, too:

With many cheap care oils, you have to apply several coats. With Rubio® care oil, one coat is enough. That’s it.
