This is important: once you have sanded wooden surfaces, you must clean them thoroughly before applying a protective oil. Otherwise, the oil will bind with any remaining dust particles and form an unsightly paste..
So: clean first, then oil. And to make sure this goes smoothly and works really well, there’s this cleaner from Rubio, which we can highly recommend. With this cleaner, you can give wooden surfaces another thorough clean after sanding and vacuuming. The product removes even the tiniest dust particles.
All you need is a lint-free cloth and this cleaner – that’s all. The surface will then be perfectly prepared for a nourishing oil.
By the way: You can also use the cleaner to clean the tools you use for oiling (brushes, spatulas, etc.).
The Rubio® Monocoat cleaner is suitable for cleaning and preparing all sanded wooden surfaces.

Storage
If stored in a dry, frost-free place and in its original packaging, the product will keep for up to 36 months.
Application
Manual application is very simple: first, use a vacuum to remove any coarse dust from the sanded wooden surface. Then, following the instructions on the tin, apply a quantity of cleaner to the wooden surface using a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and wipe it down with a damp cloth. Leave the surface to dry for between 15 minutes and 1 hour (depending on how wet it is).
It is important not to use too much cleaner at once.
