Product information "Queenply Lamitech Cottage Oak 1532 PR"
Lamitech HPL. Perfect oak imitation. Hardwearing and waterproof. Queenply carrier panel.
Here we have the most easy-care and hard-wearing oak look you could find: Cottage Oak HPL by Lamitech – just as high-quality as all the HPL variants in our shop.
This oak wood texture is a perfect imitation, hard-wearing and absolutely waterproof. Have you ever thought about building an oak-look shower enclosure? Then you've probably found the solution now. The surface is also easy to clean. Unlike real veneers, you don't have to oil or varnish it.
Thanks to the HPL wood decor, every panel looks the same. So if you prefer a uniform surface rather than the slight variations that come with every real wood veneer, then that's another advantage of this worktop.
Applied to our Queenply carrier panel, you have all kinds of possibilities with this surface: Furniture fronts, tables, doors, pedestals, worktops or counters – build with it whatever you want.
Just take a look at the technical details for the most important technical information before starting.

Surface: oak veneer imitation
The surface is an HPL in oak wood texture. A perfect imitation. Like other Lamitech HPL surfaces, Cottage Oak is waterproof, hard-wearing, scratch-resistant, has an antibacterial coating and is easy to clean. In combination with our Queenply as a carrier panel, this composite element is not only very easy to install, but also extremely durable.
Because our Queenply also has many product advantages over other lightweight panels.
Gluing
We glue our Queenply composite elements exclusively with a high-quality PUR hotmelt adhesive. We do not use white glue. PUR is waterproof and heat-resistant up to 135° Celsius. This means that the HPL does not peel off as quickly as off other panels when exposed to heat.
Additional calibration
We calibrate every Queenply carrier panel once again at our factory to an accuracy of 0.2 mm. This means you can work with perfect gap dimensions during further processing and have no stress with thickness tolerances. Quality from the carrier panel up to the surface.
Screw pull-out strength
We always work more centre layers into our Queenply than it is generally the case. This production method guarantees significantly greater stability and a particularly high screw pull-out strength. Nevertheless, it remains one of the lightest finishing panels on the market.
Cleaning and care
The HPL surface is easy to clean with all commercially available, non-abrasive liquid cleaning agents. For example, you can use the surface cleaner recommended by us for our HPL surfaces. You can find it in the accessories section. The HPL surface can also be disinfected with all commercially available disinfectants.
Storage
Of course you can store the panels for a while. Please make sure that you store them horizontally in a dry place and protect them from excessive temperature and humidity fluctuations as well as UV radiation.
Plywood and multiplex beams such as the Queenply Multiplex anthracite pearl matt do not have the same surface properties as chipboard or MDF beams. Any surface irregularities that may occur are in the nature of the substrate and are no reason for a complaint. Production or material-related minimal defects that do not affect the product quality and are permissible within the 1st choice are assessed according to the sorting regulations based on DIN EN 438 and the international ISO standardisation.
We also take great care to ensure that your ordered Queenply panels leave our factory in perfect condition and arrive undamaged. You can rely on that! However, we would also like to point out that any distortion of the panels caused by transport or further storage is not grounds for complaint.
Please note! Surface treatment before installation It is important to oil the raw surfaces of your Queenply before installation. This applies to all veneers and all panels coated only on one side, as well as to the raw panels and all open edges. Why? This makes our Queenply resistant, protects and maintains the wood. We also have a special recommendation for this, which you can order directly: RUBIO® Monocoat Maintenance Oil 2C. One coating is enough with this oil! You can find all informations here.
Please also note that the representation of the HPL colouring on your screen may differ slightly from the original colour! If you have any questions about this, simply contact us.
If you are going to process our lightweight panels, please ensure that you take adequate safety precautions, such as extracting the chips and wearing protective goggles and a protective mask. Due to the low weight, there is an increased dust formation when processing the Queenply.
And another important note: We pack your finishing panels with special care before shipping and make sure that they leave our warehouse without any damage to the edges. However, even with the greatest care, it can happen during transport that a corner is pressed in or the edge is slightly damaged. We know that, too. That’s why we calculate 1 cm less for each side of every Queenply finishing panel in advance: 249 cm × 121 cm for the raw panel, 243 cm × 121 cm for all composite elements and 247 cm × 120 cm for all veneered panels. This saves us all a lot of time that would otherwise be wasted on complaints. Put this time into your project – and feel free to recommend us to others.
